finding the vertex in algebra

Hi everybody out there, I am caught up here with a set of algebra questions that I find really hard to solve . I am taking Remedial Algebra course and need help with finding the vertex in algebra. Do you know of any useful math help software ? To be honest , I am a little skeptical about how useful these software products can be but I really don’t know how to solve these problems and felt it is worth a try.

I have used various programs to come to grip with my problems with system of equations, trinomials and ratios. Of them, my experience with Algebrator has been the best . All I needed to do was to just key in the problem. Punch the solve key. The reply came into view almost immediately with an easy to comprehend steps showing how to reach the answer. I remember having often faced problems with side-angle-side similarity, equivalent fractions and rational inequalities. A really great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many math classes – Algebra 1, College Algebra and College Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
