creative story problem for algebra

I think God would have been in a really bad mood decided to come up with something called math to trouble us! I’ve spent days trying to figure out a solution to this math problem which relates to creative story problem for algebra and I still can’t crack it . I’m particularly stuck on adding numerators, gcf and side-angle-side similarity. Can anyone throw some light on how to go about solving such problems? I’ve tried all ways that I could think of, but none helped. I need some urgent help now. Anybody?

I’m know little in creative story problem for algebra. However, it’s quite hard to explain it. I may help you answer it but since the solution is complex, I doubt you will really understand the whole process of solving it so it’s recommended that you really have to ask someone to explain it to you in person to make the explaining clearer. Good thing is that there’s this software that can help you with your problems. It’s called Algebrator and it’s an amazing piece of program because it does not only show the answer but it also shows the process of solving it. How cool is that?

I agree , a good program can do miracles . I used a few but Algebrator is the greatest. It doesn't make a difference what class you are in, I myself used it in Algebra 2 and Basic Math as well , so you don't have to be concerned that it's not on your level. If you never used a software until now I can tell you it's very easy , you don't need to know anything about the computer to use it. You just have to type in the keywords of the exercise, and then the program solves it step by step, so you get more than just the answer.

Can a software really help me learn my math? Guys I don’t need something that will solve equations for me, instead I want something that will help me understand the subject as well.
